Boy Scout Leadership Training is the first level of training for adult leaders in the Boy Scout organization. This course is in 2 parts with a prerequisite. The prerequisite is needed if you have not been through New Leaders Essentials and Youth Protection. If you have done this you must make sure your Youth Protection card is valid (good for 2 years) otherwise you can renew it online. Both parts are required and a current Youth Protection Card is required for Leader Certification. You must attend all day in each session to be registered at council as a “trained leader”. Who Should Attend: Adults seeking to participate in any way with a Boy Scout troop. What to Bring: Wear a Scout Uniform, Boy Scout Handbook, Scoutmaster Handbook and/or Troop Committee Handbook. Wear comfortable camping clothing for the outdoor session. When: Prerequisite: Saturday April 22, 2006 8:30 a.m. to noon.
