Bill Hart – The City of Santa Clarita, a suburb of Los Angeles, is the third largest city in Los Angeles County, and the 21st largest in the state of California.  The city is located about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. The Bill Hart District services the Santa Clarita Valley of the Western Los Angeles County Council. An incorporated city north of the San Fernando Valley, and south of the Antelope Valley, in an area of approximately 120 square miles rich in California history. The boundaries of Santa Clarita extend North from the 5 freeway and 14 freeway split in the south, to Gorman, and East to Agua Dulce. The western and eastern boundaries are a couple of miles West of the 5 freeway in Stevenson Ranch and a couple of miles East of the 14 freeway in Canyon Country and Newhall, encompassing Valencia, Saugus, Castaic and all the other towns in and around SCV.

Bill Hart District, named after the silent film star William S. Hart is honored by the William S. Hart Park and museum located in the heart of Old Town Newhall.

Scouting SCV is over 60 years old, is home to 25 units (Boys and Girls Cub Scout Packs, Boys Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops for Boys and Scouts BSA Troops for Girls, and Venture Crews). Together they represent program divisions that serve over 700 youth members.
